Welcome, John Wurth!

We are thrilled to welcome John Wurth to the Prairie Sky family as our newest student therapist intern!

John comes to us as a graduate student at Friends University, where he is pursuing a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy with an expected graduation in 2027. He brings a strong academic foundation, including dual bachelor's degrees in Psychology and English from the University of Kansas.

John works with individuals, couples, and families using a systemic approach — helping clients explore the relationships and broader contexts that shape their lives so they can better navigate the challenges they face. He is also currently completing Spiritual Competency Training in Mental Health through the University of Maryland, reflecting his commitment to holistic, whole-person care.

John sees clients on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons and evenings at our Overland Park and Kansas City locations, with sessions available on a sliding scale from $10–$30.

We are so grateful to have John join our team and look forward to the care and thoughtfulness he will bring to our clients. Please join us in giving him a warm Prairie Sky welcome!
